# Quickstart

> Get started with Trace in under 5 minutes.

## 1. Get an API Key

Go to the [Trace Console](https://trace.probebrowser.com/console) and generate a new API key.

## 2. Install the SDK

## 3. Initialize

Add the following code to your application's entry point (e.g., `app.tsx`, `index.js`).

import { Trace } from '@probe/trace';

const trace = new Trace({
  apiKey: 'YOUR_API_KEY',
});

trace.mount();
```

## 4. That's it!

Trace will now automatically capture errors and performance metrics. Go to your dashboard to see them appear in real-time.
